The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR), affectionately called the "Toy Train", is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built between 1879 and 1881, this 2-foot gauge railway runs from New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to Darjeeling, covering 88 kilometers of breathtaking mountain scenery.

The train chugs through 554 curves, 22 tunnels, and 13 bridges. The maximum speed is just 20-25 km/h, allowing you to soak in every moment of the journey - tea gardens, deep valleys, distant Kanchenjunga peaks, and charming hill stations.
